Legal disclaimer
Everything on this website is general information about family law in Victoria. It is not legal advice and it is not a substitute for it.
General information, not advice
Nothing on this site takes your circumstances into account, because we do not know them. Family law outcomes turn on the particular facts, and two situations that sound similar can properly end up in very different places. Do not act, or decide not to act, on the basis of anything you read here.
If something on this site is relevant to you, treat it as a reason to have a conversation rather than as an answer.
Contacting us does not make us your lawyers
Sending the contact form, emailing either of us or calling the office does not create a lawyer and client relationship. That relationship begins when we have run a conflict check, confirmed we are able to act, and you have accepted our engagement terms.
Until then, please do not send us anything you would not want disclosed, and do not assume we are acting on a deadline in your matter.
The law changes
Family law in Australia changes, sometimes substantially. Pages carrying legal content on this site show who reviewed them and when. A page that was accurate on its review date may not be accurate now, and an older page should be treated with more caution than a recent one.
Links to other websites
Where we link to a court, a government body or another organisation, we do so because we think it is useful. We do not control those sites and we are not responsible for what they say or do.
If you are in immediate danger
This website is not an emergency service and nobody monitors it outside office hours. If you or a child are in immediate danger, contact police on 000.
